The Statue of Our Lady of Fatima: Some Facts
1. Its crown is made of pure gold.
2. It is adorned with 313 pearls and precious stones, worthy of the Queen of heaven and earth and Sovereign of the universe.
3. Most importantly, when Saint John Paul II visited Our Lady of Fatima to thank her for saving him from the deadly bullet that almost took his life in front of millions of people, he gave her the bullet, which was set in her crown, as you can see in the second photo: a token of gratitude and a testimony to what she did for the man who would one day become a saint.
“Totus tuus”, “All yours, Mary”: this was Pope John Paul II’s motto from the start of his pontificate, and it should be ours too. Share this information with all your friends so that they know how much Our Lady of Fatima meant to the holy Pope John Paul II.
