Novena to the Precious Blood of Jesus

There are three novenas to the Precious Blood of Jesus. They contain messages said to have been given by Our Lord, Our Lady and a host of angels and saints to a Nigerian teenager with almost no schooling, Barnabas Nwoye, from the village of Olo in Enugu State, Nigeria, between 1995 and 2003. According to these messages, Our Lord told young Barnabas that this is the greatest devotion he has given to the Church and the last he will give in this age. It is described as the bridge that will protect the Catholic Church, the remaining faithful and all those they love and pray for, keeping them safe during the bitter trials of the coming chastisement and bringing them all into the promised era of peace.

The whole month of July is dedicated to devotion to the Precious Blood of Christ. The Church encourages this devotion, the praying of novenas during this month, the recitation of the Chaplet of the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, and the daily prayers connected with this devotion.

First Novena

Day One

“My children, welcome to this great and privileged hour; you are blessed. Listen, my beloved children: I have chosen this hour to reveal to you the coming chastisement, so that you may be ready and help save souls. The hour is near; the time of the great tribulation is coming soon. The blood of many will be shed. The evil man will order his forces to arrest my children. They will be killed. Oh, pray, pray much, my beloved children! Make your faith stronger. Be ready to meet the hour.

I will send my angels to the earth to carry (to heaven) the bodies of my people who remain in the faith until death. They will eat with me in heaven.

My children, many will not endure this terrible hour. Pray for them. After this great persecution, the red cross will appear in the sky. This cross represents the Precious Blood and the blood of the martyrs. At that time, whoever remains in the faith and calls upon my Precious Blood will be saved during the coming darkness. My Precious Blood will protect them. Always pray the chaplet of my Precious Blood; console me and adore me. How I long for those who take part in this day of the first novena to receive these prayers.

Meditation for Day One

Today Our Lord makes clear that the chastisement is imminent. It must come. The instrument of the chastisement will be the evil enemy of our souls. Many of the faithful will be its victims. The Lord says: “The evil man will order his men to arrest my children.” The children here refers especially to those devoted to the Precious Blood; some of them will become witnesses of both faith and piety.

The Lord promises to send the angels to carry to heaven the bodies of those who remain faithful to the end. But some will remain alive, so he urges us to pray more strongly in order to obtain the strength we will need in that hour, and especially to pray the chaplet of the Precious Blood.
Today we pray for the grace to persevere in God’s will in this life.

Day Two

On this second day of the first novena, Barnabas was led by the angel, in a vision, into the underworld. There he saw a great number of soldiers, all marked with the number 666 and worshipping the Beast. Then the angel led him to a fortified house full of computers.

The angel said: “Son of man, the people you see here come from every country in the world. Satan has chosen them for the attack at the time of the coming persecution, the hour of the evil government. With the help of this computer, all people will bear a mark. Pray now and prepare yourself, so that you may endure to the end.”

The angel disappeared. Then the Holy Face of Jesus appeared in a cloud. It drew closer and said: “My children, pray much now while there is time. Soon this government of the underworld will come out and rule the world. With their computer many people will be marked. All those who receive the mark will be destroyed.

At that time, everything outside my Precious Blood will be lost. Whoever calls upon my Precious Blood will be filled with faith. Many will find mercy only in my Precious Blood. I tell you, my beloved children, pray with greater strength now. Teach others how to pray. Let all people consecrate themselves to my Precious Blood.

Meditation for Day Two

This message deals with, and indeed confirms, the concept of the Antichrist in the Book of Revelation. While the children of God worship the Most Holy Trinity on high, the people of the underworld are busy worshipping the great Beast “with ten horns and seven heads” (Revelation 13:1). Many of us know the number of the Beast, 666 (Revelation 13:18), and rumours are now circulating about plans to implant a computer chip in every person. This message confronts all of us with a stark reality. The seer saw those who bear the mark and the great computer used to create it. We are all moving toward the evil government prepared for this very purpose. We must watch for this and be ready. The Lord tells us that the way to victory is to persevere in faith, pray without ceasing and consecrate ourselves to his Precious Blood.

Day Three

“The hour is fast approaching. The great hour of my teaching on sorrow is coming soon. Many of my priests will follow the teachings of the Antichrist and become false priests. Many of my priests will be killed because they will not obey the evil man.

Only a few good priests will remain. Then my people will suffer greatly. They will find it hard to hear Holy Mass with the same value as they hear it now. Many churches will be closed. People will flee from place to place in search of the Word and will not find it. Many people will find it hard to pray, because the mercy of God will cease.

My children, that is why I call you now to prayer. Always make sacrifices and offer me your lives now. Let all people join together and call upon my Precious Blood, which appeases the anger of the Father.
My children, many people will regret that they did not welcome this devotion. Pray your holy rosary every day: the Immaculate Heart of my Mother will protect you. Always pray this chaplet of my Precious Blood and make constant reparation for all the sins people commit against me and against my Precious Blood. My Precious Blood will save you.

I bless you all.”
Then Barnabas saw in a vision a great number of priests tied to pillars. Soldiers were torturing them, and then the vision ended.

Meditation for Day Three

There are two ways of passing through the chastisement: one for the whole world and the other for the Church. While the previous message was mostly about the chastisement of the world, today the Lord speaks of the one that will strike his Church. The evil one is plotting, from within the Church, to take the throne of Saint Peter. This will happen to test our faith. We must wait and keep watch for this trial. The Lord mourns for the many priests who will follow the Antichrist and his teachings, and also for those priests who will lose their lives because they refuse to obey false teachings. As a result, the grace of God will cease, because the true Mass will not be found anywhere. In this situation, devotion to the Precious Blood will be the best way to stay in communion with the Lord. That is why he insists that we pray and make more sacrifices to strengthen our souls.
Today we pray for all the leaders of our Church: the Pope, the cardinals, the bishops, the priests and the deacons.

Day Four

Today Barnabas saw in the cloud a vision of Our Lord hanging on the cross, with blood flowing from the many wounds of his holy body. In the cloud there were also many little children praying to the suffering Jesus Christ to save them. They said: “O merciful Father, save us by your Precious Blood. May the time soon come when you repay the world.” As Barnabas continued to pray, the Precious Blood and water poured out from the holy side of Our Lord Jesus Christ and covered the little children. They rejoiced and glorified God. At once the vision ended, and the Holy Face of Jesus appeared and said:

“My children, the anger of the Eternal Father is growing. His anger is growing because of the sins of the world. The world is full of sin; adultery and impurity rule the world. People love creatures and ignore the Creator. They sin and blaspheme against the living God. My death on the cross is worth nothing to them. My son, you see how many unborn children have been aborted in the world.

My children, they are many, they are many; their cries disturb heaven and increase my Father’s anger. My children, their blood wounds my Sacred Heart; their cries make the wound in my Sacred Heart ache. Warn my people. Oh, my beloved children, stop sinning! My people, love me and stop sinning. Stop sinning! Stop sinning! Stop impurity. I tell you, stop impurity among the young.

How much I love you! How do you know that I love you? Console me by a holy life. My children, the time to save souls is short. Tell my people to be reconciled with God. Teach them to return to me and to seek the Kingdom of God. The hour of the coming chastisement will arrive very soon. Many souls will be lost for ever. Many faithful souls will become weak at that time. People will find it hard to change their lives. There will be confusion in many souls.

My children, I have told you this before and now I remind you: the coming destruction will begin in every family that has shed the blood of innocent souls. Let all people call upon my Precious Blood, and they will be saved. Baptize the unborn children by the power of my Precious Blood. My children, the Immaculate Heart of my Mother will protect you, and my Precious Blood will save you.

The vision ended, and Barnabas saw the little children glorifying God in the cloud for a while; then everything disappeared.

Meditation for Day Four

The sins of the flesh are the greatest weapons the evil one uses to provoke the anger of the Eternal Father. Not only do they separate men and women from God and from one another, but these sins also turn their love for God into love of themselves. They also lead to the killing of many unborn children, whose silent cries for punishment stir divine justice. The power of devotion to the Precious Blood has been made manifest: through the Precious Blood these unborn souls are baptized and can enter into eternal happiness.

That is why we must pray fervently for them, especially the prayer for the baptism of aborted children, so that their cries may cease and God’s anger may be appeased. We must pray very much for the sincere repentance of all those who have taken part in a life of impurity, adultery and abortion.
Today we pray for the conversion of sinners.

Day Five

The suffering Jesus Christ, hanging on the cross in the cloud. His Precious Blood poured from his holy wounds, especially the five most visible wounds. On seeing Our Lord on the cross, all the people in the lake of fire stood up crying out loudly: “Lord, have mercy on us! Be merciful to us! May your Precious Blood save us!” As they prayed, I saw an angel of God coming down from heaven. He pulled them out of the pit, and they flew with the angel into the cloud. In the cloud they sat with the whole host of angels, and they ate and drank the Body and Blood of the spotless Lamb.

Then the Holy Face of Jesus appeared and said: “My beloved children, follow the way of the desert to the New Jerusalem. Accept every suffering as a cross. Love your cross. Accept it with joy. Take up your own cross and follow me. Get up when you fall. Be strong and endure to the end. My children, people are lost for ever because of the sins of the flesh. Many souls suffer a terrible purification because of the passions of the flesh. My children love the passing riches of this world. They worship money and lose their souls for ever. My children, many souls are heading toward perdition; they are heading toward perdition because of the passing riches of this world.

I beg you all with love, my beloved children: follow the way of the desert. Teach others to accept their crosses. I tell you, live a religious life. Pray for the souls in purgatory who are in the heat of purification. Pray for them through the power of my Precious Blood. I promise to deliver them. My children, flee for your lives, so that you do not suffer purification after death. My children, pray that you may understand the visions to come.

Meditation for Day Five

Today’s message describes the reality of the place of purification. The mercy of Our Lord can be powerfully obtained through his Precious Blood. We have the opportunity to atone for our sins connected with material things and the flesh while we are here on earth. We must turn our sufferings into sacrifices and do greater penance for our sins, in order to avoid the fires of purification in purgatory.

Today we pray for the holy souls in purgatory.

Day Six

“There will be no natural heat if it comes during the rainy season. My children, pray always now.

Offer all your prayers for the salvation of people. How terrible will be the suffering of the woman in labour! This coming hour will be terrible and very frightening; who will escape it?

My beloved children, pray that this hour may be short. Prepare yourselves with holy love. Show mercy to people and preach my words to them. Live a fully holy life and tell others to change their lives. Clothe yourselves with humility, for your humility will help you in this great battle.

My children, many will be lost for ever, many will be lost for ever. Where are the few? I am still looking for them.

If people will listen, let them hear these words and pray. Pray and keep up constant adoration. Attend Holy Mass, my beloved children. Attend Holy Mass now! The time is coming when people will look for the Holy Mass with the same value as what you hear now, and will not find it. Do not let a day pass without receiving Holy Communion. Drink my Precious Blood and be filled with strength. Tomorrow I will teach you a prayer through my angel, a prayer of love and mercy.

My children, you will hear many people talking, and your faith will become weak. Happy are those who remain in my Precious Blood: the coming chastisement will not affect them. Pray that you may be able to complete this novena fully. Your enemy will fight you and try to stop you from completing it. Remember my warnings and keep them.
I am happy with your zeal and your love.

Meditation for Day Six

This message refers directly to Our Lord’s warnings in Matthew 24:19: “And alas for those who are with child and for those who give suck in those days!”; in Matthew 24:20: “Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath”; and in Matthew 24:21: “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.”

This message should be seen as a reminder or a confirmation that Our Lord’s prophecy to the disciples has not yet come to pass. In his goodness, the Lord gives us the remedy to prepare for that time: attend Holy Mass and receive Holy Communion regularly now, while we are free to do so. This opportunity will not exist in the time of the great tribulation. Devotion to the Precious Blood will be the way to safety.
Today we pray for the grace to endure in the time of trials.

Day Seven

Today Barnabas saw a vision of the suffering Jesus Christ hanging alive on the cross at the top of a mountain. Our Lord wept bitterly as his Precious Blood poured from all his wounds. An angel appeared and knelt reverently before the cross. He said a prayer in honour of the Precious Blood:

“Adoration! Adoration! Adoration! to you, the most powerful weapon.
Adoration! Adoration! Adoration! to your Precious Blood.
O suffering and merciful Jesus Christ, pour your Precious Blood into our souls.
Quench our thirst and defeat our enemies. Amen.”

“Mighty Blood of salvation, fight the enemy.
Mighty Blood of salvation, fight the enemy.
Mighty Blood of salvation, fight the enemy.”

After this the angel said: “Son of man, always say these prayers. Pray them for protection. Our Lord will save you by his Precious Blood. Adore his Precious Blood and let others join you. Pray and never give up. I love you.”

The angel left, and the Holy Face appeared and said: “My children, listen and understand these words. My children, the spiritual battle is increasing. There is a great war in the spirit now. The enemy has captured many nations and now rules them. Your country is among these nations.

My children, there are many agents of the spirit of evil now in the world. They came out of the ocean a few years ago. Many of them have built factories and made products. Many have opened churches, and many live among people in schools and in the big cities. They have deceived people.

My children, the hour is now at hand. They are not sleeping, because they know their hour is very short. Pray hard now: the evil man has not yet begun his work. The Antichrist is in the Church. He will rule my Church. Pray that you may not be deceived.

My children, know this now: when the evil man forbids Holy Mass, know that that hour is the final battle. That hour will be the greatest and most terrifying stage. It will be followed by three days of darkness. On the second night of the three days of darkness, my angels will defeat the enemy through the power of my Precious Blood. Let all people call upon my Precious Blood, and they will be saved. Make constant reparation for all the sins that people commit against me. Be watchful, my children: the war in the spirit is increasing. Take part in the battle and win.
Love me and save your souls.
I bless you all.”

Barnabas saw in a vision the red dragon in an open pit before the cross. Blood was flowing from the Sacred Heart and tormenting the dragon.

Meditation for Day Seven

The first vision Barnabas saw renews the pain of Christ’s crucifixion on Calvary. The vision that followed is very serious. The presence of the evil one’s agents in the world and of the Antichrist in the Church is confirmed. While the earlier messages showed government, activity and churches being used to trap the faithful, here we see the evil one looking for the chance to take control of the Church, which will happen. The Antichrist will forbid the celebration of Holy Mass, and so bring about the three days of darkness. The Lord’s angels will defeat the enemy on the second day of darkness. This is a call to prepare for fierce spiritual warfare.
Today we pray for endurance during the coming chastisement.

Day Eight

Our Lord appears, holding in his right hand his Sacred Heart surrounded by the crown of thorns. Beside his Heart was a wound from which blood and water flowed continually, with rays shining out from it. A cloud came down and covered the whole place.

At once Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “My children, the wound in my Heart pains me greatly because of the sins of the world, because of the souls that will be lost for ever and because of my children who will suffer in the great chastisement. Many of my children pay no attention to the warnings and visions. Very few people listen to my messages and prepare for them. My children, pray for unrepentant sinners; offer your daily sacrifices for them through the power of my Precious Blood. I promise to let a drop of my Precious Blood fall on any heart that needs to be converted through my Precious Blood. Hardened hearts will be broken and converted.

My children, pray for them. Put your faith in me, let your faith grow. Build your faith on me. The great trial is coming. My children, the trial is great. Who will escape it? The blood of many will be shed.

My children, make your faith stronger. The time will come when many of my children will be killed. I have told you this before; now I remind you that the enemy has produced his destructive tablets. Anyone who takes this tablet will die at a set time. They are doing this to reduce the world’s population so that the Beast may rule it.

My children, they will give it free of charge to everyone. My Spirit will let you know when you hear about it or see it. I tell you, pray, pray much, my children. Be faithful. Imprint my seal, by my Precious Blood, on the hearts of the faithful. They will grow in faith and overcome the red dragon. Love me and be faithful to me. Tomorrow I will truly bless you by the power of the Trinity and reveal to you the last vision of this novena. Come with faith; do not sleep.

Meditation for Day Eight

One of the most important lessons of this devotion is to make us realize that Our Lord is still suffering the agony of the crucifixion. This message gives one of the reasons: so many souls refuse to heed the Lord’s warnings, and so they will be lost. We must pray for the unrepentant and the hardened souls of the world through the power of the Precious Blood, which is able to save them. The Lord has told us that our governments are evil and have evil plans. We need only keep watch and hold fast to our love for him.
Today we pray for the lost sheep, and that we may not fall away from the faith.

Day Nine

On this last day of the first novena, Barnabas saw in a vision the crown of thorns in the cloud. The crown moved around the cloud until the Holy Head, crowned with thorns, appeared. Blood was pouring out of all the wounds in his Holy Head. The Lord raised his face and said gently: “My children, today is the last day of the first novena of the great month of July, which heaven has dedicated to my Precious Blood. Today I will remind you of all the past visions. Be careful, watch and pray.

My children, I told you that many of my cardinals have married; I told you that one of them married the queen of evil. The queen and her satanic forces have overcome the cardinal. My children, the cardinal possessed by Satan will fight to rule my Church. My children, during that time the celebration of Holy Mass will be forbidden. If Holy Mass is not forbidden, the great darkness will not come, because Holy Mass has all the power to stop the great chastisement. But heaven has decreed it: prepare for the coming trial.

My children, the government of the underworld is ready to rule with its authority. There will be one world government, one currency, and the whole world will be linked to the computer. There will be a computer number on every product, company and school. The world will be numbered with the mark of the Beast, 666, which is now in the underworld.

My children, never receive this mark. Whoever receives this mark will be lost for ever. Listen, listen: be ready to offer your lives.

My children, my blood was shed, and the blood of the martyrs will be shed before I defeat the enemy. My children, rejoice in your faith. My angel will carry to heaven the bodies and souls of all those who give their lives for me.

After this great persecution there will be a red cross in the sky, and the moon will be darkened. The sign in the sky will represent my Precious Blood and the blood of the martyrs. The blood of innocent children will darken the moon.

My children, I have told you that there will be a mass death of children who will be killed. Pray and do not give up. My children, this coming persecution will be terrifying and frightening. I promise to save you. Even in the great anger of the Eternal Father, my Precious Blood will save you.

My children, rejoice, because the brightest star has come out of the cloud, the brightest of all the stars: the Ark of the Covenant and the pillar of cloud that will lead my people to the new covenant. The star is the Immaculate Heart of my Mother. Look, you will see it every evening in the cloud. She gives joy to her children who have consecrated themselves to her. Prepare yourselves; consecrate yourselves to her. My Mother will protect her children. Pray your rosary and live a holy life. My children, give this chaplet to the two seers. Teach them this prayer. I tell them to pray it always. The enemy will attack the seers all over the world first. They will suffer. Do not be afraid, my children: I promise to save them through the power of my Precious Blood. All who call upon my Blood will be saved. Let families pray the chaplet of my Precious Blood. I will save them in the terrifying hour.

My children, pray this chaplet for sinners. Pray it for unrepentant sinners. I will allow my Blood to come down on their hearts before the great day comes. They will obtain true sorrow for their sins. Pray, pray for sinners; pray for the non-Catholic churches, pray that they may be one. My Father will answer your prayers through my Precious Blood. I will send a great sign in the sky, and all people will see it and turn to my flock. They will worship and revere me and my Precious Blood.

My children, I will not work great miracles now, because the Church has not yet approved them. But I will answer your requests according to the divine will. Prepare for the three-day novena. Be ready to welcome your Mother.”

The Most Holy Trinity appeared in the cloud. The Holy Spirit shone a divine light on Barnabas and on all those taking part with him. The Father and the Son blessed us and said: “I bless you all.”

Meditation for Day Nine

The message of the ninth day is a summary of the previous eight days. Our Lord has made the matter clear: heaven has permitted the plans that allow the Antichrist to rule the Church and forbid the Mass, and that allow three days of darkness, one evil world government and one evil religion. These are the instruments of the chastisement. Repetition is a way of giving emphasis in divine messages. Here the Lord asks us to pray for sinners and non-Catholics, so that we may be united with them in the hour of trial. The power of the Precious Blood for these times is reaffirmed, but it can never be affirmed enough.
Today we pray for non-Christians and non-Catholics.
