Blessed is the one who stays fervent in faith
Your eyes, turned toward the cross, are full of tears,
and the sword of sorrow pierces your heart;
the eyes of Jesus are turned toward mankind,
and their many insults wound his heart.
How many feelings we have for the Crucified One during Lent, and how often they grow cold and die out after the Resurrection.
Blessed, then, is the one who stays fervent in faith every day,
whose heart is set ablaze by the flame of love and the warmth of faith.
