Litany of Divine Mercy
“Divine love is the flower, and mercy is its fruit. Let the soul who doubts meditate on these invocations to Divine Mercy, and it will trust in my mercy.”
After each invocation, say: “We trust in you.”
Divine Mercy, flowing from the bosom of the Father,
Divine Mercy, greatest attribute of God,
Divine Mercy, incomprehensible mystery,
Divine Mercy, fountain springing from the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity,
Divine Mercy, unfathomed by any intellect, human or angelic,
Divine Mercy, source of life and joy,
Divine Mercy, higher than the heavens,
Divine Mercy, source of miracles and wonders,
Divine Mercy, encompassing the whole universe,
Divine Mercy, made flesh in the Person of the Word,
Divine Mercy, flowing from the open wound of the Heart of Jesus,
Divine Mercy, enclosed in the Heart of Jesus for us sinners,
Divine Mercy, unfathomed in the mystery of the Eucharist,
Divine Mercy, revealed in the founding of the Holy Church,
Divine Mercy, revealed in the sacrament of Holy Baptism,
Divine Mercy, our justification through Jesus Christ,
Divine Mercy, our companion throughout life,
Divine Mercy, our protection at the hour of death,
Divine Mercy, pledge of eternal life,
Divine Mercy, present in every moment of our life,
Divine Mercy, shielding us from the fire of hell,
Divine Mercy, for the conversion of hardened sinners,
Divine Mercy, wonder of the angels and delight of the saints,
Divine Mercy, unfathomed in all the divine mysteries,
Divine Mercy, lifting us out of every misery,
Divine Mercy, source of all joy and consolation,
Divine Mercy, calling us forth from nothingness into existence,
Divine Mercy, embracing all the Lord’s creatures,
Divine Mercy, crown of all that was and all that will be,
Divine Mercy, in whose depths we are all immersed,
Divine Mercy, peace of troubled hearts,
Divine Mercy, only hope of despairing souls,
Divine Mercy, rest for hearts and peace amid trials,
Divine Mercy, inspiring trust where there is no hope.
Prayer: Eternal Father, whose mercy is infinite and whose treasury of compassion is inexhaustible, look upon us kindly and increase your mercy in us, so that in difficult trials we may never despair or lose heart, but may submit with ever greater trust to your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
