Prayer for the Healing of a Sick Person
O Lord, the Great Physician, we come to You with complete
trust and humility, confident in the greatness of Your mercy and the depth of Your tenderness, especially toward the sick and suffering.
We place into Your hands Your sick child, asking Your majesty to touch him with Your gentle hand, a touch of healing.
For You said: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Have pity, Lord; give rest to Your child, grant complete healing and return him to his family, free from all pain and distress.
We thank You for Your blessings and Your love, and we ask that Your will be done for the good of the sick person and his family, for You are the God of goodness and all that comes from You is good.
You are rest in weariness, comfort in sorrow and healing in sickness.
In You we put our trust and our hope, and we ask this of You through the intercession of our Mother, the Virgin Mary, who never disappoints the hope of those who seek her intercession and help.
Hear us, O Lord. Amen.
