Prayer to Break Every Evil and Weaken the Forces of Evil
Our Father in heaven, I love You, I praise You and I worship You.
I thank You for Jesus, Your Son, who conquered sin and death and saved me.
I thank You for the Holy Spirit, who strengthens me and guides me to the fullness of life.
I thank You for Mary, my mother, who intercedes for me with the angels and saints.
I bow down before Your Cross, Lord Jesus Christ:
cover me with the Precious Blood that flowed from Your Sacred Heart and Your holy wounds.
Wash me, my Jesus, in the living water that flows from Your Heart.
Lord Jesus, I ask You to surround me with Your holy light.
Heavenly Father, let the healing water of my baptism
flow back through the generations of my mother’s and my father’s families,
so that the whole family may be cleansed of the Evil One and of sin.
Bowing before You, O Father,
I ask You to forgive me, my family and our ancestors
for every calling upon foreign powers that set them against You,
or for failing to give due honour to the name of Jesus Christ.
In the most holy name of Jesus I declare
that if there is anything belonging to me, material or spiritual,
that is still under the power of the Evil One, it now returns to the authority of Jesus Christ.
Show me, O Father, by the power of Your Holy Spirit,
if I need to forgive someone, or if I have a sin I have not confessed.
Show me, O Father, whatever in my life does not please You,
or the ways and means that have let the Evil One into my life.
I lay before You, O Father, every failure to forgive;
I lay before You all my faults;
I lay before You every means the Evil One uses to control my life.
I thank You, O Father, for what You have shown me;
I thank You for Your forgiveness and Your love.
In Your holy name, Lord Jesus,
I “bind” all spirits in the air and in the water,
on the earth and under the earth, and in the netherworld.
In the name of Jesus Christ I “bind” every manifestation of the Evil One;
and I call down the Precious Blood of Jesus upon the air,
upon the atmosphere and the water, upon the earth and its fruits,
upon everything around us, under the earth and in the underworld.
Heavenly Father, let Your Son Jesus come now, with the Holy Spirit,
the Blessed Virgin Mary, the angels and the saints, to protect me from all evil
and to keep every evil spirit from taking revenge on me and on what is mine.
In the most holy name of Jesus, I seal with the Precious Blood myself and my family,
I seal this room (the house, the church, the car, the plane, the seat, etc.)
and all food. (Repeat 3 times: for the Father, for the Son, for the Holy Spirit.)
In the most holy name of Jesus, I break and loose every curse and every evil eye,
every spell, every hex, every snare, every slander, every obstacle,
every betrayal, every illusion, every spiritual influence,
every evil intuition and inclination, every hereditary seal known and unknown,
every disability and illness caused by my faults and sins… and every other.
In the name of Jesus I “stop” the working of every evil pact,
every bond, every spiritual tie and every work of hell. ×3
In the name of Jesus I “stop and loose” all ties and bonds and their effects
with astrologers, fortune-tellers and clairvoyants;
with crystal healers;
with palm readers and the “New Age” movement;
with those who practise magic, charms and incantations;
with false “holy men” and charlatans;
with satanic rites and the calling up of spirits;
with magi, witches and voodoo practitioners.
In the name of Jesus I stop and loose every influence
resulting from taking part in séances and the calling up of spirits,
reading horoscopes, talismans and magic sessions of any kind,
and every form of worship that does not give Jesus true honour. ×3
I beg You, Holy Spirit, reveal to me
any negative spirit attached to me, to what is mine or to my way of life.
(Moment of silence)
In the name of Jesus, I renounce you, spirit;
I command you to go straight to Jesus, without evasion or delay,
and not to harm me or any other person;
let Jesus deal with you according to His holy will.
I thank You, heavenly Father, for Your love.
I thank You, Holy Spirit, for making me bold against the Evil One and the forces of evil.
I thank You, Jesus, for setting me free.
I thank You, Mary, for interceding for me with the angels and saints.
Fill me, Lord Jesus, with love and compassion,
with faith and kindness, with hope and humility,
with joy and goodness, with light and purity,
with certainty and prudence, with peace and trust,
with truth, understanding and wisdom.
Strengthen me to walk in Your light and Your truth,
for You, Lord Jesus, are “the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
You came “that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10).
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation” (Isaiah 12:2).
Enlightened by the Holy Spirit, I praise, exalt and glorify God the Father, and the Son our Saviour,
now and for ever. Amen. Alleluia.
