What Télé Lumière wrote about Sawt El Rab radio
Sawt El Rab radio is “a Catholic Christian internet radio that seeks to bring the word of the Lord and promote a scale of values,” and for Sister Jackie Abi Nassif, “Télé Lumière is the voice of Christian media and the shining lamp.”

The work of evangelization has no borders and no geography; it is an ongoing work and a Christian mission that obliges us to proclaim the word of Christ amid the thirst for faith the world is experiencing in the face of life’s temptations.
With this in mind, Sawt El Rab radio was launched on 6 August 2005 thanks to people who believed in this mission, to bring the word of the Lord into every home, especially in the countries of the diaspora.
The radio runs on volunteer work, thanks to people who volunteered to spread the word of the Lord and who work day and night regardless of the effort and responsibilities; their first and last concern is the mission, which must reach as many people as possible through the internet, YouTube and social media.
The radio’s founders are: Sister Jackie Abi Nassif, Antoine Abi Nassif and Fouad Mounsef.
The radio’s programmes are varied and cover all subjects, church-related and otherwise, in step with social, cultural and religious issues, in addition to the weekly, seasonal and annual activities the radio organizes with the blessing of Bishop Ibrahim Ibrahim of the Melkite Catholic eparchy of Canada, through the radio’s director, Sister Jackie Abi Nassif, and all its volunteer staff.
Ms Joëlle Khalifé El Hachem Matrane, a Lebanese woman living in Canada, has been a volunteer at the radio for three years. She told Télé Lumière and Noursat: “Through my evangelizing mission at the radio, I have been able to bring the word of the Lord into many people’s hearts, especially since I handle the radio’s secretarial work, which has strengthened my relationships with people, particularly when I tell them about the activities the radio organizes; this has contributed to their spiritual and cultural enrichment.”
For her part, Ms Joyce Abi Nassif stressed that “the aim of the radio is the unity of the Churches; that is why it is in contact with the various parishes of Montreal, to consecrate this unity through a joint work of evangelization centred on the Gospel, strengthening the Church’s mission and making its voice heard.”
She explained that alongside its media mission, the radio works day and night to organize educational trips and camps that bring young people together and encourage them to live the teachings of the Gospel in a right and transparent way.
Ms Grace Khawaja Bechaalany, a volunteer at the radio, emphasized that the radio plays a major role in raising young people’s awareness amid the confusion sweeping over them because of the temptations of our age; so the radio brings young people together and organizes prayers, hymns and Masses for them, to raise the Church’s voice and proclaim the message of the Gospel.
Ms Béatrice Bitar gave a life testimony about her work at the radio and the positive effect it has had on her life and her children’s lives.
Dany Najjar explained that through his volunteer work at the radio he has learned to love others, to study the Gospel more deeply and to guide those who have lost their way back to the right path, describing evangelization as a great responsibility.
Maroun Abi Nassif spoke about the radio’s preparations for the annual celebration of its founding, planned for 23 October, stressing that with Sawt El Rab a person gains a great deal in life, because he is close to God and thirsts for the unity of the Church.
Finally, the radio’s director, Sister Jackie Abi Nassif, explained in detail the idea behind the radio’s founding and its beginnings, stressing that its aim is to bring the word of the Lord to every corner of the world through its rich and varied programmes on the one hand, and to support the Church and receive its blessing on the other.
Sister Jackie explained that true peace is only achieved with Jesus, and that wars only end through faith and love; hence the role of Christian media in conveying everything that is beautiful and everything connected with the truth.
She also praised Télé Lumière and Noursat and their varied programmes, which seek to build people up in values, describing it as “the shining lamp.”
