It is so important, and so lovely, to begin our day with a little conversation with our Lord, our Creator and the Creator of the whole universe. Before we meet anyone else, let us meet Him, even for a few seconds: make the sign of the cross, thank Him for this new day and offer it to Him so He may bless it, with trust, joy and peace.

– We ask You, Lord, at the beginning of this day, to make it a day of goodness, blessing and happiness for everyone. Accept our prayers, stay with us and keep evil people far from us. Grant us success in our work and good health; gladden our hearts and give us serenity, peace and security. Bless our families, Lord, be pleased with us, and in Your mercy have mercy on us. We are all full of hope and trust, Lord, that today will be better than yesterday, and we believe that tomorrow will be better than today, and that difficulties are just the flavour of life. May Your will, Your mercy and Your grace be with us all the days of our lives. To You be glory and thanks for ever. Amen.
– My Lord Jesus, release the birds of peace to fly over the whole world, to proclaim Your name throughout the earth and to call people to love. For when love dwells in hearts, peace dwells among nations.
Receive our prayers today for the healing of those who are sick in soul and body, and for goodness, love and peace in our country and throughout the world. Lord, we walk on full of hope that You will accept our prayers and be pleased with us. You who care for the lilies of the field and the birds of the air, have mercy on us and be our help, so that we may follow in Your footsteps, walk the path of love, clothe ourselves in gentleness and humility, and love one another as You have loved us. To You be all glory and thanks, at all times and for ever. Amen.
– How beautiful it is for a believer to seek the face of the Lord at the dawn of each morning, and how sweet for God’s children to meet their Father before they meet anyone else. So we come to You with reverence and ask You, Lord, to forgive all our sins, whether in thought, word, deed or by neglect. Forgive us, pardon our wrongs and have mercy on us for the sake of Your holy name. Give us, Lord, a beautiful day; bring calm and peace into our hearts, love into our souls, smiles to our faces and happiness to our homes, and grant us health of body and mind. Teach us, Lord, to seek what pleases You in everything. And send us angels of peace to guard us and protect us from all evil.
