A Meditation at the End of the Month of Mary
At the end of this blessed “Month of Mary”, we repeat with Saint Alphonsus Liguori:
“I beg you not to deprive me of calling you my Mother, for this name fills me with joy and consolation, draws me to devotion and repentance,
reminds me of my duty to love you, and makes me place all my hope in Jesus.”
The Month of Mary is over, but that doesn’t mean we will stop praying to you,
or that you will no longer be present in every moment of our lives, all year round: you are our Mother and the Mother of all humanity.
On the cross, Jesus said to John: “Behold your mother.”
How beautiful these words are, and how deep! How great is “God’s love”, that he gave us his own mother!
Help us, Virgin Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to overcome all sin: the sin of each person, the sin of the world, and sin in all its forms.
Help us, our Mother, to walk the path of the Lord Jesus and to meet you in eternal life.
