Feast of Saint Michael
8 November: Feast of Saint Michael the Archangel. Let us pray this prayer:
O great prince of heaven, faithful guardian of the holy Church, Saint Michael the Archangel, I (say your name…), though unworthy to appear before you, yet trusting in the kindness of your good heart, and moved by the excellence of your wonderful prayers and your many favours, come before you accompanied by my guardian angel; and in the presence of all the angels of heaven, whom I call to witness my devotion to you, I choose you today as my defender and my special advocate, and I firmly promise to honour you always and to make others honour you with all my strength.
I ask you to help me all the days of my life, so that I may never offend the most pure Heart of God, whether by my words, my actions or my thoughts. Defend me throughout my life against the temptations of the devil, especially in matters of faith and purity, and at the hour of my death give peace to my soul and bring it into the heavenly homeland. Amen.
Saint Michael, pray for us, for the Church and for peace.
Saint Michael, enlighten us with your light.
Saint Michael, shelter us with your wings.
Saint Michael, defend us with your sword.
Our Lady of the miraculous roses, we long for your triumph.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, that we may not perish at the dreadful judgment.
Amen.
