The Feast of the Transfiguration and Sawt El Rab radio
On this day, 6 August 2005, Sawt El Rab radio was born in Montreal, Canada, on the initiative of its founder, Sister Jackie Abi Nassif, to send the light of the Word to the whole world, using modern technology to enter every home, every mind and every heart.
It is also known in French as
La Voix du Seigneur.
It is an Arabic-language radio station: most programmes are broadcast in Lebanese dialect, with segments in Syrian and Egyptian dialects.
All of them are Christian spiritual programmes for the children of the universal Church, Catholic and Orthodox.
The radio broadcasts online from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, 24 hours a day without interruption.
Most listeners are in Canada, the Arab world, the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa, and in Arabic-speaking Christian diaspora communities around the world.
The radio also uses other means of broadcasting:
Android, iPad, iPod, iPhone.
We ask for your prayers that the radio, which first shone on the Feast of the Transfiguration, may continue to proclaim the Gospel, spread the light of the Word and glorify the Lord at all times. On this blessed day, we ask the Lord to bring peace to the world and to protect persecuted Christians.
