The Danger of Violating Christian Values

The danger of violating Christian values

Speaking of the danger of violating Christian moral values and faith, the late President John Kennedy is credited with saying:
“We cannot break God’s law; we can only break ourselves against it. So we must tame ourselves and train ourselves to obey it.”

The destruction of nations comes from the destruction of morals and from living in disobedience to the Word of God.

God allows humanity its choices because he created it free. But he does not allow evil to triumph to the end, nor allow us to stray from the path to him until death. He speaks to us in many ways and wakes us from our weariness and our falls so that we turn back to him. Blessed is the one who listens and saves his soul through repentance.

Evil may spread across the earth for a long time, but divine mercy upholds those who trust in him.
Wars, conflicts and suffering will remain, and this will not end, because they belong to the civilization of this world, and the ruler of this world is evil and never stops trying to trip us up and lead us away from obedience to God for our salvation. The Lord said the road is hard and the gate is narrow: blessed is the one who endures to the end.

Isaiah 49:15-16: “Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”

Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Your future is decided by your choice today, if you know the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Open your doors to Christ, and the light will dwell in you, and darkness will never find a way to you.

Father Boutros El Zein

Note: this saying is often attributed to John F. Kennedy, but it actually comes from the director Cecil B. DeMille, who said it while introducing his film The Ten Commandments (1956).
