Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
To be said every day of the month dedicated to this devotion (June), or at any time, with faith and reverence.
O Jesus, my beloved Redeemer, I give you my heart: place it in your Sacred Heart,
for it is in this pure Heart that I have longed to dwell and through it that I have wished to love you. Through this Sacred Heart I have wished the world to ignore me, so that you alone may know me.
From this Sacred Heart I draw a warmth of love that enriches my heart. In this Sacred Heart I find strength, light, courage and complete consolation.
If I grow weak, it strengthens me; if I wither, it revives me; if I am sad, it comforts me; if I am anxious, it calms my fear.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, let my heart be a temple of your love, let my tongue proclaim your goodness, let my eyes be always fixed on your wounds,
let my mind contemplate your perfections, let my memory recall the greatness of your mercies, let everything in me express my great love for your Heart, and let my heart be ready to bear everything and sacrifice everything for love of you.
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, the sweetest, tenderest and most powerful of hearts after the Heart of my beloved Saviour,
pure Virgin, present to the Heart of your beloved Son our consecration, our love for him and all our intentions,
for he takes pity on our misery and has compassion on our wretchedness; may he deliver us from our afflictions, so that you, who are our advocate and protector in this vale of tears, may become our Queen in the eternal home.
