While… Jesus…
While the disciples were shouting:
“Hosanna in the highest!”, the angels were singing: “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”;
and the Lord Jesus was proclaiming: “This is the day which the Lord has made.” While the sinful woman was crying out, “Have mercy on me, O God,” Judas Iscariot, greedy for money, was asking, “What will you give me?”;
and Jesus forgave them both, saying: “Your sins are forgiven.” While the people were shouting in mockery, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”, Mary was weeping and lamenting, “Where are you going, my child?”;
and Jesus was carrying the cross, praying, “Your will be done, Lord.” While the soldiers were guarding the tomb, remembering his words, “He will rise,” death was trembling with fear at hearing, “O death, where is your sting?”;
and Jesus was openly declaring, “I am the resurrection and the life.” While the women were on their way to the tomb, asking, “Who will roll away the stone for us?”, an angel was waiting for them, singing, “He is not here; he has risen!”;
and Jesus had conquered death by death, and the people praised God, saying: “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life.”
