Novena to the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit, gift of God to my soul, I find nothing to express the inner happiness I feel when I know that You are my sweet guest and the divine life within me. Like overflowing waters, the soul is immersed in calm and love, and in sweet contemplation of You.
I thank You for such condescension, and I think of the inexhaustible riches of Your grace, Your gifts, Your virtues, Your fruits and Your beatitudes. I think of the gentle goodness that moves You to dwell in me. You possess everything,
You can do everything, and You want to give me everything. So, despite my misery, I bless You, adore You, thank You and ask You for everything.
Holy Spirit, hear my prayer.
Grant, merciful Father, that Your divine Spirit may enlighten us and set us on fire, so that we may become pure temples fit to receive His heavenly glory. May Your Holy Spirit fill us with good works and with the strength to avoid sin,
through the merits of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

How to pray the Chaplet of the Holy Spirit
First
* Offering of self to the Holy Spirit: Spirit of God, we offer You ourselves and our prayers, together with the prayer of the Virgin Mary and the apostles gathered in the Upper Room, asking You to come and renew us and renew the face of the earth.
Come, Holy Spirit, send forth the heavenly radiance of Your light. Come, father of the poor, come, giver of gifts, come, light of the heart. Greatest comforter, sweet guest of the soul, sweet consolation. In labour, rest; in heat, relief; in tears, solace. O most blessed light, fill the inmost hearts of Your faithful. Without Your grace there is nothing in us, nothing that is not harmful. Cleanse what is unclean, water what is dry, heal what is wounded. Bend what is rigid, warm what is cold, set right what has gone astray. Give to Your faithful, who trust in You, the sevenfold gifts.
