We beseech You, O Lord, that we may be helped by the merits of the Spouse of Your most holy Mother, and obtain all that we need through the intercession of Saint Joseph, who lives with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

On the small beads, say:
Hail Joseph, son of David, just man, spouse of Mary, of whom was born Jesus. Saint Joseph, foster father of our Lord Jesus Christ, pray for us now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The mysteries of the chaplet:
First mystery: let us contemplate Saint Joseph beside the Virgin Mary at the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Fruit of the mystery: purity of conscience.
Second mystery: let us contemplate Saint Joseph presenting the divine Child in the Temple.
Fruit of the mystery: union with God.
Third mystery: let us contemplate Saint Joseph fleeing into Egypt with the divine Child.
Fruit of the mystery: trust in divine Providence.
Fourth mystery: let us contemplate Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus, in Nazareth, working alongside Him.
Fruit of the mystery: the sanctification of work.
Fifth mystery: let us contemplate Saint Joseph dying in the arms of Jesus and Mary.
Fruit of the mystery: a happy death.
As with the Rosary, each mystery ends with: Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
To finish, say this prayer:
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give you my heart, my soul and my body.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, assist me now and at the hour of my death.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, may I die in peace in your arms.
