Translation of the meaning
O Virgin Mary, you have surpassed the sun and the moon,
and every star that travels the orbits of the sky.
O Mother of Jesus, O my Mother and my hope,
do not abandon me when I fall into sin.
O Morning Star, shine in our churches,
and enlighten our minds, our hearing and our sight.
O Virgin Mary, have pity today, not tomorrow,
on a lowly sinner whose tears are flowing.
O Virgin Mary, be my joy for ever,
and at the hour of my death be there, my Mother, so that I may win the victory.
