The promises given by our Lord Jesus Christ to Saint Bridget for all who carry out this devotion.
“Know that I grant great graces to all who, every day for 12 years, pray seven Our Fathers and Hail Marys together with the prayers in honour of My Holy Blood. They will receive the following graces:
- They will not go through Purgatory.
- I will count them among the martyrs, as if they had shed their blood for the faith.
- I will keep three members of their family in grace, according to their choice.
- Members of their family, down to the fourth generation, I will save from the fires of hell.
- I will warn them of their death a month beforehand. And if they die before this period (12 years) is over, I will consider that they have fulfilled all the conditions.”
Pope Innocent X announced these revelations.

Opening Prayer
Receive, O Jesus, my prayer, rising from my humble lips to Your divine Heart, the dwelling place of love, and I ask You to sanctify it so that it may offer the highest honour and joy to the Most Holy Trinity that You revealed to us on earth. May this petition cover Your blessed people, so that Your holy wounds and the holy Blood flowing from them may be glorified.
First Mystery: The Circumcision
Eternal Father, through the immaculate hands of our Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You the first shedding of the Blood of Your Son in the Circumcision, in reparation for the sins of mankind and of youth, and for my own sins, and for the renunciation of first mortal sins, especially those connected with my relatives.

Second Mystery: The Sweat of Blood
Eternal Father, through the immaculate hands of our Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You the terrible sufferings of the Heart of Jesus in the Garden of Olives, and His bloody sweat, offered in reparation for all the sins of the heart, and for my own sins, and for the renunciation of these sins and the growth of our love for the Lord and for our neighbour.

Third Mystery: The Scourging
Eternal Father, through the immaculate hands of our Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You the thousands of wounds, the bitter sufferings and the holy Blood of Jesus shed when He was scourged at the pillar, for the sins of the flesh, especially those of my relatives, and for my own sins, and for the preservation of purity.

Fourth Mystery: The Crowning with Thorns
Eternal Father, through the immaculate hands of our Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You the wounds, the sufferings and the holy Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ caused by the crown of thorns, in reparation for the sins of the human spirit, and for my own sins, and for the renunciation of these sins and the spreading of the reign of Jesus on earth.

Fifth Mystery: The Carrying of the Cross
Eternal Father, through the immaculate hands of our Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You the sufferings of Jesus Christ on the way to Calvary and His Blood, especially the wound of His shoulder, in reparation for sins against holy teaching, and for their renunciation and a sincere devotion to the Holy Cross.

Sixth Mystery: The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ
Eternal Father, through the immaculate hands of our Mother Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I offer You Your heavenly Son nailed to and raised on the Cross, the wounds of His hands and feet, the three streams of His Blood shed for us, His utter self-emptying, His perfect obedience, the torments of His body and soul, His glorious death and its unbloody renewal in the holy Masses on earth, in reparation for all offences against vows and holy institutions, for the forgiveness of my sins and those of the whole world, for the sick and the dying, to obtain holy priests, for the renewal of the Christian family, for the strengthening and growth of faith, and for the unity of peoples in Jesus Christ and His holy Church in all the countries where Christians are few.

Seventh Mystery: The Piercing with the Lance
Eternal Father, accept these glorious graces, the Water and the Blood that flowed from the side of our God Jesus Christ, for the needs of the Holy Church and in reparation for the sins of mankind.
O Blood of Jesus Christ, flowing from His Sacred Heart, wash me of all my sins and purify me.
O Water of Christ, wash me of my first sins, purify me and save me, and save the poor suffering souls in Purgatory.
