The Virgin was weeping.
She said to Myrna: “Never mind.”
Myrna too was weeping, crying out: “The Virgin is weeping!”
At last the Virgin withdrew, and before she vanished from Myrna’s sight, she smiled a gentle smile.
Note: the word, spoken in Syrian dialect, “ma3lech,” means roughly “never mind” or “don’t worry.”
