Prayer at the End of the Year

We thank you, Lord, at the close of this blessed year,
for every moment of joy and love,
health and peace that we have lived; we thank you for being with us in every moment of this year.
Forgive us, Lord, for every offence, anger, grudge and pride
we have felt; forgive us for every moment we forgot to rely on you and thought we could achieve something without you… Help us to learn from our mistakes,
to accept every trial and test we go through, so that we may grow by your power and by the grace of your Holy Spirit, to be reconciled with ourselves
and with others, and to begin a new year
that is blessed and full of you, of love, hope, faith and peace.
And so may all the days and years of our life be blessed.
