Prayer When Lighting a Candle
May this candle I light be a light from You, Lord, to brighten my path through difficult times.
I offer this candle as I offer You my life: let it be Yours, Lord. Help me to pray and guide me in my decisions.
Keep me from evil, give me health and teach me how to help others.
May this candle be a divine light from You, my Lord, to burn away my selfishness, my pride and all my sins.
May it be a flame from You, my Master, to warm my heart and to give peace and health to my family and to the whole world.
Amen.
