Lord,
in the quiet of this new day,
I come to You asking for peace, wisdom and strength.
I want to look at the world today
with eyes full of love,
to be patient, understanding, calm and wise,
to see Your children as You see them,
and to see only what is good in them.
Close my ears to all slander,
guard my tongue from all malice,
and let only thoughts that bless remain in my mind.
I ask to be so good and so joyful that all who come near me may feel Your presence.
Clothe me in Your beauty, Lord,
and let me seek You and find You throughout this day.
