Translation of the meaning
These roses are for you, O Mary, offered by our hands.
Come, accept from us this pledge of a true love,
with our good wishes. (×2)
Wars fill the earth, and distress we cannot accept;
we have all fallen sick,
and no one but you can heal us.
At our doors are children who still have hopes for their lives;
the heart melts when they say: “Be generous to us,
for hunger is wearing us down.”
We seek forgiveness, O Mary, for we have abandoned you;
today we repent of our sins, O Mother of my Lord:
his favour is enough for us all our lives.
With sincerity we call on you and let our love for you grow;
we long to hear counsel from your lips,
for our fallen nature throws us into sin.
