On Christmas night hatred is erased; on Christmas night the earth blossoms;
on Christmas night war is buried; on Christmas night love springs up.
When we give a thirsty person a glass of water, we are at Christmas;
when we clothe the naked with a garment of love, we are at Christmas;
when we wipe the tears from people’s eyes, we are at Christmas;
