Pope Francis’s Daily Prayer
Come, Creator Spirit,
visit the souls of Your faithful,
fill with heavenly grace
the hearts You have made.

You are called the Comforter,
gift of God Most High,
living spring, fire of love
and spiritual anointing.
———————
Pour out on us Your sevenfold gifts,
You, the finger of God’s right hand,
You, the promise of the Father,
You who put on our lips the treasures of the Word.

Kindle Your light in our senses,
pour Your love into our hearts,
strengthen with Your lasting help
our weak bodies.
———————
Drive the enemy far from us
and grant us peace;
be our guide,
keep us under the wing of Your guidance
and keep all harm away from us.
———————
Through You may we know the Father
and the Son as well,
and in You, O mighty Spirit,
may we believe now and for ever.
Glory to God the Father,
and to the Son, risen from the dead,
and to the Spirit, the Comforter,
for all ages.

Let us pray
O God, who have enlightened the hearts of Your children
with the light of the Holy Spirit,
make us obedient to Your Spirit,
so that we may always delight in what is good and feel His consolation.
