Six Pieces of Advice for Life
Six pieces of advice for life, often attributed to Mother Teresa of Calcutta. (They are adapted from Kent M. Keith’s “Paradoxical Commandments”; a version of them hung on the wall of her children’s home in Calcutta.)
1. People are often selfish: forgive them anyway.
2. If you are kind, some may think you have hidden motives: be kind anyway.
3. If you are honest, people may cheat you: be honest anyway.
4. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow: do good anyway.
5. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough: give your best anyway.
6. In the end, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them.
