Some of the Most Beautiful Prayers to Saint Joseph
I would like to share with you, my brothers and sisters, three of the most beautiful prayers to Saint Joseph, chaste spouse and foster father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that God will grant us, from among the many graces and virtues He gave to our great Saint Joseph the Just, three graces we greatly need in today’s world:
– the grace of silence, like his, so that we can hear the Father’s voice amid the noise of this world and its many philosophies, and know what He wants us to do, with simplicity, faith and trust;
– the grace of patience in the trials and difficulties we meet in our lives on this earth, so that hope is not lost in us, but we grow stronger and hold firm, keeping the peace within us;
– the grace of obedience, so that we surrender ourselves to our heavenly Father and do His will in our lives, not our own; then nothing but the highest good will come to us, for our salvation.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, one God. Amen.
1 – Saint Joseph, our patron and advocate, you who endured hardships and anguish and were beset by sorrows and trials, you whose hope never weakened and who held fast to God at every stage of your life, so that you became the patron of all the afflicted and suffering in this life, I ask you to show your power: ease my suffering, make up what I lack, strengthen my weakness and fill me with joy by obtaining what I ask, so that I may return to you with a song of love and thanksgiving.

2 – You who raised the incarnate Son, whose heart overflowed with tenderness and compassion, who braved dangers and endured hardships for the divine Child, and spent your life raising and serving Him, behold, I take refuge in your protection, asking for help and assistance.
I ask you, who have never disappointed anyone, to look upon me with tenderness, to train me in the spirit of virtue, to plant faith in my heart and to guard me from the dangers of soul and body, so that I may win your favour and sing your praise for ever.

3 – Head of the Holy Family, you who sacrificed your life and gave yourself for Jesus and Mary, who were for them a tender father, a faithful companion and a watchful guardian, so that you were found worthy to die happily in their arms, I ask you, who protected the firstborn, dispelled sorrows and healed illnesses, to be pleased to heal my soul with the balm of your consolations, so that my worries may ease and my troubles pass.
And having received the grace I desire, may I be worthy to die as you did, to win your crown and share your happiness for all eternity.
