Ya maryam na7nou banouki
1- يا مريمُ نحنُ بَنـوكِ في خِبائكِ نَحتَمــــي
ونُحيِّي في لِقـــــاكِ أُمَّ فَادِينـــا الحبيـب
فَهلُمـي لِحِمانـــــا واسرِعي نحوَ الغريــق
مـا لَنــا إلاّ الرجـاء ودُعــاكِ في الشقـاء
إليــكِ يــا عـذراءُ قَــــد تَهافَتنــــا

2- أنقِـذي الإنسان مِنْ أيدي الأعادي الظالميـن
واحفظي للأَرز ِ دَومـاً فيهِ طُهرَ الناسكيــــن
شعـبُنــــا يُنـادي فاسمعي صوتَ النِــداء
مـا لَنا ملجا سِــواكِ في الحياةِ والممـــات

فاجعَلينـا للدَــــوامِ نُكرِمُ فادي الأنــــام
واحفظينـا في أمــان واقبلي منّا الســــلام

Translation of the meaning
1. O Mary, we are your children; we take shelter under your mantle,
and in meeting you we greet the Mother of our beloved Redeemer.
Come to our defence, hurry to the one who is drowning;
we have nothing but hope and your prayer in our misery;
to you, O Virgin, we come running.
2. Rescue mankind from the hands of unjust enemies,
and keep forever in the cedar (in Lebanon) the purity of its hermits.
Our people are calling you: hear the voice of their call;
we have no refuge but you, in life and in death.
3. At the foot of the cross you wept for the Beloved,
and in your tears and sobbing your grief was heartbreaking.
Make us honour forever the Redeemer of mankind;
keep us safe and accept our greeting.
